CBS is being arrogant and hanging up on folks who are asking if there are going to show the beheading video tonight...

I just had a very pleasant conversation with a lady at CBS. She told me CBS would not be showing the video, that it was not her decision, that she had seen it and it was too gruesome to show on TV. She said that she understood my position.

I politely conveyed to her my belief that it should be shown, and added that if it had been a video of a US soldier beheading an Iraqi prisoner, I have no doubt CBS would be running it 24/7.

I asked her to relay my sentiments to the powers that be at CBS. She told me all calls on the issue are being logged, and that there are a lot of calls. BTW, she wasn't a receptionist -- she is a unit manager (whatever that is). Said she was just helping out with the phones.

Since she is not the decision-maker, I didn't see a need to become strident with her. She thanked me for the call, and I thanked her for her time.
