Nightline to talk about Abuses
Posted on 05/11/2004 12:42:35 PM PDT by gilliam
TONIGHT'S FOCUS: The abuses committed by American soldiers at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison have prompted a storm of outrage. Especially disturbing are late breaking reports this afternoon that an American may have been murdered in retaliation for those abuses. Today, a tense Senate hearing considered the Army's own internal report of these abuses. And despite the enormity of the criticism, both at home and around the world, some are starting to say there has already been too much hand wringing.

The leftist Fraudcast Networks will continue this incessant hand-wringing UNTIL they can dream up something else to replace it that they feel is equally bad. Notice how the beheading of the American in Iraq is being blamed on US - and, of course, on Dubya.
They are really beside themselves trying to turn public opinion and get their guy elected. It's gone way past the shadings of old - it's out and out blatant now - and there is more than the slightest chance of a very real backlash.

You see, they are crediting Al Queda with actually "avenging" the prison abuses. Obviously, Al Queda is using the story in a sick attempt to gain support for slaughtering innocents. I'm sorry, but I have abn unusual target - the President. He is too civil while the media and democrats are trying to bring about an American defeat. The left will gladly get lots of people killed for their agenda. They have done it before, Kerry being a prime example. And we need to stop groveling and take them on for it. I believe the nation would rally.

I wondered something else as well. Why is Nightline just now getting around to this story? Is it to generate some kind of sound bytes to give the evening news an excuse to regurgitate it for one more day?

If we take a couple of prisoners out into the town square and decapitate them with a big knife after burning their genitals in retalitation for the death of Nick Berg, I wonder if Mr. Koppel, in his ever-vigilant striving to be consistent, will blame Berg's murderers.
Nah.

Email sent. Among other things, I suggested that they remove the word "American" from their network name. They are not worthy.

Oh, OK. So now Ted Koppel is drawing moral equivalence between...
1.) A bunch of sick puds posing Iraqi prisoners--prisoners in the maximum security portion of Abu Ghraib, there for insurgent activity against coalition troops--naked and in degrading positions and taking pictures of it.
and
2.) A bunch of animals trussing an American up like a pig and beheading him on camera while yelling war cries to their false moon god.
Yyyeeeeeeah.

No question it's time to take back our country, even if that means to take up arms. I guarantee you that these hand-wringing, finger-pointing leftists will turn tail and run if we take the fight to them.

Maybe. I do worry sometimes that Bush & co are letting the other side set the agenda. But then again just letting the left vent and make fools of themselves might create a backlash. If they are hanging themselves, why interrupt?

The abuses committed by American soldiers at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison have prompted a storm of outrage The film of Nick Berg being beheaded needs to be stuck in the faces of anit-American Democrat-appeasnicks like John Fn. Kerry. It's only one American this time but I'm just as pissed off now as I was about 9/11.
To: gilliam
And I just bet Nightline will overlook the brutal decapitation of 26 year old Pennsylvania Nick Berg. (BIG SARC)

Reports from our own American press are responsible for the excuse given to murder one of our own people, by the islamofascist barbarians. If this had never been so loudly screamed about by the press, the terrorists would never have had such a convenient excuse for murder.
