Sen. Imhofe has been outstanding. Recall only a few years ago toward the end of the Clinton administration, Imhofe almost lost his life in a plane crash when someone spiked his fuel.

Glad to have him and y'all for neighbors to the north. Should have known he was an Okie and only a short wade across the Red River.

Byrd says it is clear to HIM that this was a matter of policy and asks Gen. Taguba "Who gave the order to soften these prisoners?".
Taguba says they found *no evidence of an order given*. He believes these people did it ON THEIR OWN VOLITION.
They found no order, written or otherwise, for this behavior.
Now Byrd says the lack of training was to blame.
Well.

In Inhofe's case, I'd be in favor of cloning.
The disgrace of the Senate...one of many, Byrd has to read what his staff wrote. What ARE his qualifications to be a senator anyway?

"As president, I will not be the last to know what is going on in my command,"The guy can't even watch his speech writers and seems to be the last to know, even after delivering them, what they actually said.

I believe he is from Oklahoma, but I think I read he isn't running again. Hope I'm wrong on that. We need MORE like himI don't think that's accurate. The other GOP OK Senator, Don Nickles, isn't running for re-election.

I think it was '98 or '99 he exposed Clinton on the Senate floor - for the record....not long after that the propeller 'just came off' the plane he was flying. His skill enabled him to land safely.

Oh, prairie - you missed the absolutely best questioning and statements by a Senator I have ever heard. Ever.
He absolutely condemned the Senate, politicians and the media for making such a big deal of this. Said those prisoners were lucky they were held by US soldiers and not Saddam. Had some stuff read into the record regarding Saddam's brutality.
Got it confirmed that our soldiers aren't issued AK-47's which puts to bed one of the pictures.
More which I can't remember...
