McCain: Lethal force authorized in case of uprisings?
Taguba: Yes.
McCain to Cambone: Complaints to Bremer and Powell regarding treatment.
Cambone doesn't know about those.

YEAH!!! McCain clarified that the Geneva Convention not applying to terrorists is OK by him.
HOT DANG!! McCain is quoting Kapinski's statements in Taguba's report.
HOTSHIT! McCain asks if higher ups, the pentagon {Rumsfeld) is responsible for these abuses. and Taguba said "No."
McCain, "How far up do these abuses go?" Taguba refuses to define "gitmoize" the prison.
Taguba says he does not believe Kapinski's statement to him that she wasn't allowed to go into some areas of the prison.
all in all, McCain asks some fine, succinct questions.

Now serving his sixth term in the United States House of Representatives, Roscoe G. Bartlett considers himself a citizen-legislator, not a politician. Prior to his election to Congress, he pursued successful careers as a professor, research scientist and inventor, small business owner, and farmer. Still an active farmer, but retired from teaching and building homes, he was first elected in 1992 to represent Maryland's Sixth District.
In the 108th Congress, Bartlett serves as Chairman of the Projection Forces Subcommittee of the Armed Services Committee. One of three scientists in the Congress, he also serves on the Science Committee. Due to his experience, he also serves on the Small Business Committee.

Sorry, the report is still Classified, but the PDF version is still posted at www.foxnews.com under the heading 'Raw Data'.
I'm not going to mess with trying to link or post it...my employment conditions won't let me do that.

Why isn't the media louding requesting Col. Hackworth publish that list of 17 Senators who got letters about the abuse as early as January 2004?
As I recall the fact that this was under investigation was reported back last November when the investigations were started. Thought maybe I was recalling some other prison investigation but last Friday, Rush claimed that this was in the news last November, but with no pictures for the cartoon reading Democrats to understand.

McLame: "What evidence did you find these people knew about the Geneva convention?"
Taguba: "These soldiers told us they didn't know. But as far as I'm concerned, the leadership should have told them."
McLame: "You say they didn't, but SecDef says they did..."
McLame is putting words in people's mouths: TAGUBA NEVER SAID THE SOLDIERS DIDN'T RECEIVE INFO ON HUMANE TREATMENT: TAGUBA SAID THE SOLDIERS CLAIMED THEY NEVER RECEIVED INFO ON HUMANE TREATMENT.

Karpinsky now on speed dial by Dems. She will be painted as a scapegoat by Rummy. She will be on all kinds of talk shows and her book will be out in October.

Add Reed. I heard Lawson name him yesterday.

Someone had a little talk with him over the weekend I bet.

Smith: Miller gave commanders operating procedures used at Gitmo so they could generate their own. Policy re dogs specified that interrogators must guaranty the safety of detainees. Dogs must be muzzled. Segregation for over 30 days required permission. Agrees with Taguba that rules were out there, but somewhere in chain broke down. They're trying to find out where.

That part about Bremer ... Evan Bythe was on Gretta last night tring to blame this on Cheney and Condi
He said Bremer tried to warn them last year
WHAT my understanding is that Bremer told them about over crowding of the prisons and not was happened at this prison

NO SENATORS ARE OUTRAGED BY THE LEAK OF THE PHOTOS!
Of course, they're outraged by the leak of Democrat Party Operative memos regarding their hatred of Hispanic judge nominees.

I was listening to Michael Savage yesterday. He was interviewing an author who wrote "Rumsfeld's War." This guest said that, due to the photos release, now captives can no longer be hooded.
Hoods are used to disorient captives. Now, apparently, that technique can no longer be used.
[This war is turning more and more PC and that is not good.]

There were prisoners shot during an uprising, and I do believe that predates the Abu Ghraib humiliation activities.
