These senators want blood. Taguba just told them there was no malicious instruction from the White House or Rumsfeld's office to mistreat prisoners. Taguba said that these abuses began at the prison command level, and he gave the causes. That simply will not do! The senators want blame to go higher.

McCain: Miller was quoted in Taguba report saying that he wanted to "Gitmo-ize" treatment of prisoners. What does it mean?

Taguba: Would refer it to Miller. He himself has never been to Gitmo. 800th brigade was under combat conditions, as opposed to Gitmo.

McCain: Prisoners were moved around to avoid Red Cross inspections.

Taguba: yes.
