I think this is clear evidence that the Military Intelligence didn't make them do anything. They were rogue MPs and they did whatever they wanted. To blame MI, George Bush, Don Rumsfeld and General Myers for their deeds is a total copout. Oddly, these little porno pics will absolve the brass of any wrongdoing. These MPs broke the rules and it would be refreshing if they and their familes stopped the finger pointed game and assumed responsibility for their actions.

It doesn't take a Carnac the Magnificent to glean the underlying question here:
"What can we write headlines about, instead of Kerry's credibility gaps, the economic recovery, and the UN corruption scandal?"

Drudge update:
Pentagon possesses three disks of photos, one of which includes some brief video clips. Many of the photos are redundant, and some have little to do with Iraqi detainees but show sex between U.S. soldiers... Pentagon officials prevailed at least temporarily in their insistence that the administration not immediately release the images, which include the forced masturbation of a detainee; one depicts soldiers sodomizing prisoners with glow sticks...

Many of the photos are redundant, and some have little to do with Iraqi detainees but show sex between U.S. soldiers...Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy seems to be flourishing in Iraq.

It's a violation of the Geneva Conventions to hold a prisoner up to ridicule or even to photograph one in such a manner as to reveal his/her identity. CNN and a few others have been blurring the prisoners' faces and that is OK. The New Yorker and Seymour Hersh have not. Anyone can commit a war crime, not just a member of the military or command structure -- even civilians. Arguably, by releasing photos that show the prisoners' faces without blurring them (such as the
photo showing the prisoner surrounded by the dogs) the New Yorker is itself committing a war crime.

Probably not unlike what cameras would have caught in the Oval Office in 1993-2000? But that was his business right?

It's just sex. It IS NOT the public's business. Let the peace keepers go back to work for the American public protecting the children yadda yadda...

Again more evidence for my theory that these pics are, in fact, parts of applications for National Endowment of the Arts grants.
