Bush must wish now that he had cleaned house when he came into office. I wondered why he kept any of Clinton's people around!

I don't know why he kept them on,other than the fact that he had far less time to prepare to take over,due to the algore/election mess.

We need to send him brooms,after his next Inauguration.

Because just before he left office, he made most of his political appointees civil servants.

You can't fire civil servants.

Ashcroft even went to Congress to ask if he could fire some of them; they said no. So they were moved laterally.

He was bending over backwards to be fair and non-partisan....and look what it's gotten him. Wonder if he has regrets now.
