FYI All lawyers are fingerprinted as part of their bar application. Their criminal records are checked. It must have raised a few eybrows.
There is no attorney client priveledge for the furtherance of a crime. If I were investigators or governemtn lawyers, I would have an Attorney-ad litem appointed for this attorney's client files. This would sieze the files out of this lawyers control and allow a means of scrutinizing each of his clients. No attorney client priveledge for the furtherance of a crime.
I would be some of his clients track the terrorist watch list.

Absolutely.

Mayfield, who is 37, comes from a family of non-church-goers, Alexander told The Associated Press.
"When they started having children, he thought they should have some religion to have the family focus on," she said."
Time to break out the tin foil. Ft Lewis is where the Sniper Jo Mo was stationed.

Remember the Suez Canal was under British Control for decades. Generations of Egyptians worked for the Canal.
Many Egyptians who worked for the Canal went to English schools in Egypt and many went to higher learning in the UK.
Some speak and write better English than most of us.
If she was a child of these people, she would probably be very fluent in English with minimal accent except that of a UKer.

It wasn't even a UK accent. She sounded like one of us.

So far all of the articles have said that she was born in Egypt.
If they are wrong we will find out.

Hopefully this story will wake more of the moderates who go to sleep when we talk about the Islamo Terrorists.
The lunatic lefties will never come out of their insane love affair of the Islamofascist/kazis, but each one of the stories, if it gets legs, can wake more moderates.

Dave, although the Clinton era ( ~shudder!~ ) sorely tried my faith in America's ability to use common sense, I still think most people are pretty good at detecting what is really critical, and what's worth ignoring.
Islamic fanatics are their own worst enemy- the more they spout off, the crazier they sound to the average person.

Another interesting discrepancy is that Mayfield is said to have called his attorney, Nelson, because Mayfield saw Nelson on the news on Wednesday night. But Mayfield had asked Nelson 10 years ago where Mayfield should attend law school. A few things don't quite add up here.I read an article last night quoting Nelson as saying he was Mayfield's "friend and mentor" but saying Mayfield would have a public defender. That struck me as odd--now Nelson will serve as his attorney..for the time being.

I read an article last night quoting Nelson as saying he was Mayfield's "friend and mentor" but saying Mayfield would have a public defender. That struck me as odd--now Nelson will serve as his attorney..for the time being.I saw one earlier today (likely written or posted yesterday) in which Nelson said the same thing, that he was merely a friend but wouldn't be representing Mayfield. In another, Nelson seemed to be complaining that he hadn't even had time to speak with Mayfield before reports of the arrest etc. were leaked to the press. Why should he have cared about that if he wasn't representing Mayfield?

My, my....small world.
The attorney is 37 and went in right after high school, so say age 18 which would be 1985 if he was born in 1985.
Guess what year the sniper enlisted....1985!!!!

Since he is linked to Battle of the Oregon 7, something doesn't quite jive. Battle's wife (actually is ex-wife) was also one of the "convicted"Oregon 7.
Why do I imagine the two wives know each other?? Is the Attorney an wife Team 2?
Be aware also, that Battle and wife (ex-wife) are the only two of the seven who would not cooperate with us.

What is really important time wise is their stay in Ft Lewis and that area during and after their military service.
Where they in the Army at the same time is probably not as important as did they attend the same mosque at the same time. If they attended the same mosque at the same time, did they do activities together. Did they listen to the same hate America sermons together?
Did this mosque and its Imman at that time work hard to convert people to Islam and to hate America may be more important than if they were in the Army at the same time.
Even if they attended the same mosque at different times got the same Hate America Sermons, that would be very important.
Was there a military muslim chaplin who behind closed doors preached hate America.
Something happened to these guys during and/or after their military.
