Rush said a few minutes ago, that if Bush apologizes, it's all over for him. Huh?

Are they going to apologize for hanging dead American body parts from wires and bridges?

I am so disappointed in Bush for sinking to this level.

He should send a couple of nukes instead.

Rush was talking about it aminute ago. I disagree that he had to apologize to anyone. Remember the key difference between this action at the prison and F'n Kerry's actions in Viet Nam. In the prison, the guards were mostly alleged to have humiliated prisoners. In Viet Nam, Kerry has suggested that he killed non combatants!

Oh well. He did it, but they won't drop it. He must know what he's dealing with in these democrats.

Maybe it'll blow up in their faces. One can only hope.

If correct, this is where the Bushbot spin machine kicks in -- he means he's sorry it happened, but not that he's apologetic. Just like the time the U.S. clearly apologized to the Chicoms for surviving their attack on our surveillance plane, and most everybody here insisted that we didn't.

We're now officially a nation of softies. Apologizing during a war for some hurt feelings and some humiliation of terrorists.

Unreal.

I'm sorry that he's sorry and I'm sorry that he has to apologise for those idiots pictures.

I am guessing this to mean that he is sorry it happened not that he is sorry as a responsible person. In the same way I am sorry if my wife has a bad day at work. I am sorry it happened not feeling responsible.
By the way I am sorry for getting caught up in semantics.

Bush Apologizes for Iraqi Prison Abuse
Thu May 6, 2004 02:16 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush told Jordan's King Abdullah on Thursday he was sorry for the humiliation suffered by Iraqi prisoners who have been abused by their American jailers.

"I told him I was sorry for the humiliation suffered by the Iraqi prisoners and the humiliation suffered by their families," the Republican president said during a Rose Garden appearance with Abdullah.

This story has so jumped the shark. I don’t think Dubya needed to apologize to a cat like Abdullah, but it just proves how much class our CinC has.

Way to go, W… now let’s get back to winning this war!

Finally! I think an apology, whether he means it or not, will go a long way. I can see few negatives - especially with voters. Rush is projecting maybe...

Won't change a thing.

Arabs will still hate us. Now they will see us as weak again.

Democrats will still hate Pres. Bush. Now they KNOW they have him jumping to their tune.

Was he as sorry as:

Clinton when he got caught porking Monica?

Teddy when he drowned Mary Jo?

Arafat when one of his bombers massacred Jewish children?

The Iraqis when they mutilated 4 contractors?
