WASHINGTON POST PLANNING TO UNLEASH MORE PRISONER ABUSE PHOTOS, NEWSROOM SOURCES TELL DRUDGE... DEVELOPING...

The pictures obtained by The Post include shots of soldiers simulating sexually explicit acts with one another and shots of a cow being skinned and gutted and soldiers posing with its severed head. There are also dozens of pictures of a cat's severed head....

Other photographs show wounded men and dead bodies. In one, a dead man is lying in the back of a truck, his shirt, face and left arm covered in blood. His right arm is missing. Another photograph shows a dead body, gray and decomposing. A young soldier is leaning over the corpse, smiling broadly and giving the "thumbs-up" sign.

And in another picture a young woman lifts her shirt, exposing her breasts. She is wearing a white band with numbers on her wrist, but it is unclear if she is a prisoner.

Another photograph of a naked man with a dark hood over his head, handcuffed to a cell door. And another of a naked man handcuffed to a bunk bed, his arms splayed so wide that his back is arched...

A picture shows a soldier holding a leash tied around a naked man's neck in an Iraqi prison....

Has anyone stopped to ask who's taking these photos, and where the press is getting them from?

I have asked myself that from day one. Who takes pictures of themselves engaging in illegal activities and then passes them around? Those who did this are obviously responsible for their own actions but I am suspicious of the person with the camera.

I feel sick every hour today,,the press smells blood and is going for the kill. This is total nonsense to smear our troops, kill our effort, betray our country. But it feels to me as if it may work. Hardly anyone out there will say the truth, get a grip, this is a damn war, this happens, this is why war is hell. men know it, they always have and have protected civilians from the truth of it. It does not invalidate the reasons and rightness of some wars,,it is a byproduct. But it is being used in a subversive way and I am afraid it is going to work because we have a population so nuts they wont eat meat, wont wear furs and expect property owners to not use land cause some damn snail lives on it. I am sickened today. I want a new country but there is no ocean to cross and no new land to settle. I want a new country like the old one I used to know.

I'd like to get the name of the traitor who is selling these to the media. If a soldier reports these activities to his superiors as being illegal, that is one thing.

But, to sell them to the media for profit while you hurt the credibility of the US during a time of war is treacherous.

They had one of the soldier's lawyer on H&C tonight, and he pretty much admitted that the soldier was only following orders, so, that means that some are legit.

I mean, look at the timing: photos released, Iraqi protest a day later- with computer generated signs in ENGLISH, and now this.
