ROFLMAO ..... er just how might one determine how long something was there before you noticed it was there? ;-)
Rewind the video surveillance cameras to determine when the suitcases were placed - - - at the same time, get a bead on who placed them, and disseminate their mugs and physical characteristics. Unless there are no surveillance cameras; lesson learned in that case: better install a purveysive network of video cameras in all public places, with continuous loops at least long enough to capture events like this.

But do you actually think that we can avoid all trouble if we can actually record and track everyone, every public place, all the time? Willing to sacrifice your own money to pay for such a a surveillance system everywhere?

Most of the areas mentioned do not have cameras. Your suggestion to have them in all public places is as repugnant to me as the terrorist are. Then again I'm just a conservative who doesn't believe in some government geek being able to track my every move.
