As incredible as it sounds, two comets are on a collision course near earth, so near in fact, that one is expected to knock the other into (most likely) the western hemisphere

That's when I stopped reading. Even if comet debris were heading our way, there is no way to predict the impact spot so accurately, as far as I know.
