Did you hear that George Stephanapolous on GMA this morning was complaining that this was taking place in the Oval Office and there really wasn't enough room for the 9/11 Commission? He complained it would be "cramped".

Good. I hope they made Kerrey and Binveniste (or whatever it is) stand in the corner.

(Do ovals have corners?)

He complained it would be "cramped".

Not only that, but POTUS and VPOTUS had comfy chairs while the Inquisitioners had hardback chairs and the lawyers had to stand.

The only thing cramped is my bowels whenever I listen to any Democrat, which is something I try to avoid as much as possible.

Hamilton and Kerry were said to have left early due to previous appointments; I know every time I am in the Oval Office with the President and I have more pressing engagements The President of the United States has no problem with my leaving early.

"Lee H. Hamilton, Democratic vice chairman of the bipartisan panel, who had a previously scheduled appointment to attend, and commissioner Bob Kerrey, a former Democratic senator from Nebraska, were seen leaving the White House around noon."

No reason given - yet.

Oh, there's a reason. It's called grandstanding for the media. Expect a news conference from Kerrey and Hamilton in which they express their outrage at GWB's very existence on the planet — in Washington-speak, of course.

what possible appointment could be more important than talking with the POTUS and VPOTUS regarding 9/11? Sounds pretty hypocritical at the very least.

LOL! I'm sure some could be found in a pinch. Could always move a decorative screen in from one of the other rooms.

I don't even know why the President has to speak about this. We *know* what he's done since 9/11, and it's admirable.

From your linked article:

Relatives of the Sept. 11 attacks say they hope the commissioners ask Bush and Cheney whether the administration was inattentive when intelligence warnings in the summer of 2001 increasingly pointed to a domestic attack, and whether the government's emergency response on Sept. 11 too slow.

And I hope the "relatives" accept the answer "no", the administration was not "inattentive".

Sheesh

Here comes President Bush
