God Bless them-- In another time, the people wouldn't stand for Ted's treason for sweeps. In another time, Ted wouldn't dare pull this subversive stunt. May Ted Koppel learn the hard way that terrorists don't like him despite his appeasement.

The article says eight stations, you've listed six. What gives?

If the purpose was to honour the soldiers it might be a great thing. But since the obvious political purpose is to try to make so the soldiers died in vain, it is a sickening thing to do.

Being a southern guy myself, I keep seeing the divide between the liberal north and the conservative south growing wider and wider. Succession time again?

Hmmm .. looks like Ted won't have the opporunity to pick up where Walter left off
Good for these stations

SINCLAIR STATIONS!

Television for the Mentally Ill is not generally viewed by the productive members of society anyway, so let Ted go ahead and show his ignorance. Only the lonely will be watching. His ratings can't even be measured for they are too small.

I think using the fallen as tools for ratings and political statements is craven and crass. Glad some stations see it the same way.
To: KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle
I find this very offensive and will let ABC know it.
To: KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle
I was willing to give ABC the benefit of the doubt until I heard they did something like this during the Vietnam era. Add that to Tokoyo Ted's stated position on the war and I've decided this is a pretty sleazy stunt.

Bump comment:
Let's return the "respect" Nightline gave to our dead troops.
How about getting some anti-homosexual Christian TV evangelist to read the names of gays who die of AIDS. We can even show their pictures, and maybe interview a few crying relatives.
Would the media see this as creepy? Tacky? Sick? Would they see it the way we see Nightline?

Channel 6 (WSYX) always runs Seinfeld at 11:30 and runs Nightline after. Maybe now I know why.

Thank you thank you thank you for respecting the honor of those who died giving their last measure of service so that America may be free.
