One comment: this does not do us any good at all. The US forces had the bad guys on the run, corraled, contained, and were eliminating them one at a time - or in groups.
And now we're "pulling back"????
If we are not in this thing to win it and kill all the bad guys. . . then it is not worth one more US military life to remain there.
Our "Commander in Chief" ought to know that!

Maybe they are constituting the "shadowy" group to Fallujah that is currently terrorizing Sadrs men in Najaf?

FNC has change their breaking news a few minutes ago.
They said there is no peace deal, our troops aren't leaving and the only change is that a few Iraqi police forces will be joining them.

Fox News just aired another breaking news alert and stated they weren't pulling back, just repositioning their forces.Seems to have been a mis-communication.

You know, Fox News basically....
Just isn't very competent. Particularly with breaking news. They have to do SOMETHING. Doesn't really matter if they're unbiased or have a counter-bias to the rest of the media if they're basically just going to be a bunch of idiots.

It is about time that Iraqi forces took over their own security.
Maybe the Islamic cultists will step out and fight, rather than hide behind their womens skirts.

Can't blame just Foxnews...they all had the same report. Blame it on the pool reporters who are feeding them.

Its crazy. this will be seen as a weakness.

I love all the military experts here!
No such thing as a strategic withdrawal in your book.
Chances are very good that it is just a repositioning of troops and not a withdrawal. Just because a reporter sees that troops in his local area are "pulling back" doesn't give you more than a speck on the area of operation.
Hello! We're killing the insurgents like cockroaches. We aren't losing, quitting, or playing softball with them, we're winning!
Get off your duff, go down to the Pentagon and put your resume in for the CFLCC or Bremers postition, I'm sure if you're better for the job they'll give it to you on the spot.

Wow... I'd watch Fox News on their worse day over and over before I'd watch any of the competition.

Read the Article, we're not pulling out of Fallujah
"Meanwhile, initial reports of an agreement to pull U.S. forces out of Fallujah (search) proved to be inaccurate.
A senior military source told Fox News that the Marines were packing up their gear in the southern industrial zone of the city as part of a simple repositioning of troops not a pullout from the city. This repositioning may include adding some Iraqi forces into the mix."

The military is waging a disinformation campaign without even trying!
The last thing on the mind of the military is disinformation, but the liberal media is ether in the business of disinformation or they just are not getting good information. Lying or Ignorant? The only thing on the mind of the military is succeeding.

I hate to buckle to impulse and panic; but it is tempting to scream--"Get our boys out of there NOW".
