Kerry's C.O. Says First P.H. Was Not Authorized by Him

John Kerry's commanding officer was just interviewed on Fox News. According to Lt. Commander Grant Hibbard when Kerry showed up in front of him requesting a Purple Heart, Hibbard saw that he had a "scratch"(Hibbard's word) on his forearm. And because, according to Hibbard, there was no report of enemy action on Kerry's patrol that day and the "scratch" did not receive medical attention from a medical officer, Hibbard declined Kerry's request for a Purple Heart.

Kerry only joined the VFW in 2001. Per his Financial Disclosure Form, he is a life member. He joined the American Legion earlier, but no longer lists it.

Well it'll be interesting to see if this story has legs...I don't watch the major commercial television media news and I only watch Scarborough on CNBC and FOX news so I wouldn't know but I would be surprised if the majors pick it up...

I lost the end of my finger when working to undo a hangfire on a 5" 38 cal gun mount.
We were on the gunline in Feb 69 when it happened.
We had no MD on board and I had to be sent to the USS Iwo Jima to see a doctor.
The next day I went back to my destroyer.
I never even dreamed of asking for a Purple Heart.
I saw Marines in sickbay on the USS Iwo Jima who really deserved them.
I saw this interview today and as usual Hanoi Kerry lied once again.
What makes me sick is Hanoi Kerry was there when I was.

Yep, well I am just glad that people are finally coming out and telling us what really happened with Kerry's unit...I just wish it would have happened thirty years sooner...

I've been saying for months that I couldn't believe Ketchup could have received 3 PH's in less than four months and not spend one friggin' night in a hospital...
