MESSAGE OF THE AFTERNOON/EVENING TO PENNSYLVANIA CONSERVATIVES
Get out and vote Toomey.
I am kind of surprised about the reports that US Rep. Toomey seems to be carrying Lancaster County by a slim margin, 52-48
Toomey needs to rack up a good margin in Lancaster County, so that he can afford to bleed a little on Specter turf in Philly.
So if youre a Penn. Republican, quit reading the Corner and go vote Toomey.
Toomey also needs huge margins in York and Harrisburg to offset anticipated Specter wins in the Philly surburbs.

I hope Toomey wins, but a 100+ person sample from one county does not an exit poll make.
Still, if the close margin convinces even one Toomey voter who might have stayed home to get out and vote, then it is a good thing.

+1 seat Dems.
Only if the Toomey supporters (which I consider myself, even if I'm Texan) don't rally behind their SOB (Specter) after the primary.

This is a political discussion, not an in-your-face-trashtalk-throwdown.
Sometimes, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to require your discussion mate(s) to either provide some factual basis for their assertions or tell them to STFU.

Toomey will lose and his merry band of political anarchists and arm chair know nothings can go back to their caves. Meanwhile, the rest of us have to help President Bush get reelected.

"Toomey's going down and we can thank him for creating in Arlen Spector, for the next six years, our own Zel Miller."
Yes, and we can thank Bush for making the Moslems mad at us. And thank Reagan for making the Democrats mad at us. And we can thank that scofflaw John Adams for getting the British mad at us!
If only those ruffians had just let everyone walk all over us, the world wouldn't have all of the problems it does today!
Get a clue.

Okay, I'll do that:
STFU.
In fact, why not have a cookie.

Don't let them get to you. It's the CINO's putting party over what is right again. "Arlen: It is time to go home now."

The difference here is Bush, Reagan and Adams were all on the winning side. SMOOCH.

If Toomey should lose, Specter will owe a huge debt to Dubya & Santorum. Toomey's running was a no-lose for conservatives.

Thanks for the turnout rates. Could you give us a breakdown of which counties you listed are likely to go Pat's way? The recent exit polling from Lancaster County is making me just a bit nervous, but I'm still very optimistic.

People who choose to contest the direction that their party takes are not "political anarchists," and hardly deserve the rest of your insult. American political parties have always been coalitions of diverse factions, never monoliths like the Communists and Nazis. If the Bush faction--with which you so clearly identify--do not understand that, it would be a reason to reject Bush, not Toomey. (But, actually, I think the problem is more one of the pathetic Karl Rove's dysfunctional analysis, not anything that actually comes from the President. See Karl Rove for the real problem in the Republican Party, today.)
