Close but no cigar. I'd damn sure like to see some exit polling on how many democrat union folks changed their registration to vote for mcSpecter.

Not enough to make a differnce. We both learned something about Penn, other than that the polls were right. When Pubbies in Philly/Montgo don't vote all that different from Pubbies in the most Neandrathal areas, it is rather interesting. Maybe Pubbies are melting into something rather homogenous or something.

There are plenty of swing/GOP union voters in PA. I worked with 'em. And for a lot of them gun issues and common sense talk (balancing budgets, strong defense, etc.) are far more important as to why they registered GOP than abortions or Bork, though there really isn't a single stereotype for candidates to target. In my experience there is a lot more crossover mixing of issues for PA voters than in say Texas or Georgia.
