Specter Wins 51-49 Republican Senatorial Primary: live thread
4/27/2004 | self

My apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search on "Toomey" and found nothing.

I arrived at my polling area (suburban Philadelphia) at 6:45 am to hand out palm cards. The weather is terrific this morning, but turnout (I thought) was light (I had to leave at 9:15, but will be back).

Actually, I have a good feeling about Pat.

Toomey (during a debate): "Arlen, the idea that you're a fiscal conservative is harder to believe than your single bullet theory." April 3, 2004

Does anyone know - it is a random thing regarding which precincts report first or is there a more predictable process here?

Search me. I always thought they utilized the ever-popular "chicken bones" method to decide.

Wow - its gettin' close. And I have work to do tonight. But now I'm getting happy that the voters might just give that pompous blowhard the boot.

Come on I want a blowout for Toomey. So big that they call it after only 40% of the vote counted.

Wish: 58% Toomey, 41% Specter

1212 John Kerry (D)
203 Howard Dean (D)
187 John Edwards (D)
59 Dennis Kucinich (D)
28 Lyndon LaRouche (D)

1689 Democratic Votes..

1630 Republic Voters so far..

The fact that the Democrats have that many voters, and without a single exciting race among them (nobody cares about Attorney General races), is proof that the 33 precincts used so far are urban, Democratic strongholds.
