Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

Add the loss of manufacturing and Jobs. Add to that the dependance we have now on Foriegn goods, and our debt to Foriegn countries. Add to that the other countrys that own so much of our land and our real estate. Add to that all the government owned land which is the same as land owned by gloabalist's. Add to that the comming World Court in which we are bound to become a member under some future president....Add to that..... And the list goes on and on. Sure is a drag to compare today to a few decades ago. Globalist's do not want America to powerful. And they do not want any nation to be a sovergn nation. One world one Government, and they control the whole thing. That is what they want. OK- You can take off your tinfoil hat now.

This is a topic near and dear to my heart JP! My son and I have been emailing McClintock and others in this state about this very issue for quite a while now. Interesting to note that the only one that has bothered to respond to our emails is McClintock!

My son was going to be entering CSUN in the spring 2005 semester and just received notification that they most likely will not be taking anyone for the spring term. He would be going in as a 2nd year student. I've no doubt in my mind that they will find room for illegals though. I'm outraged about this issue!!

Leaking truck forces shutdown of Hwy. 95 in Roane Co.
May 14, 2004

OAK RIDGE (WATE) -- Authorities shut down Highway 95 Friday between Bethel Valley and Bear Creek Roads in Roane County after a truck carrying radioactive material was discovered leaking.

Just before 11:30 Friday morning the truck left the waste management area just south of the ORNL complex.

It left the west entrance to ORNL and went down Bethel Valley Road and then north on Highway 95 and onto Bear Creek Road.

The truck ended up at a nuclear waste disposal site near the Y-12 complex. The truck was carrying an isotope known as strontium 90.

As it headed up a hill on Highway 95, droplets of the material leaked onto the pavement in at least one spot.

"Our concern is to deal with the emergency, work with the state, assess the situation, and bring it to a quick and safe resolution," Steven Wyatt, DOE spokesman said.

Special meters were used to check state trooper's cars and any other vehicles to see if they drove through the radiation. They also checked the road.

Roane County Emergency Management Agency Director Howie Rose showed 6 News the monitors being used to detect any radiation on the road. He said the detection process is "time consuming" because workers must check every inch the truck traveled.

"What we would do is hold the probe approximately one inch above the surface and slowly sweep the area to see if we had any rise in the level of radiation that it says is present," explained Howie Rose, director of Roane Emergency Management.

Health physics technicians spent the night monitoring the highway for other signs of radiation.

The Department of Energy says the material is fixed into the pavement and doesn't pose a threat to the public.

There are no homes in the area and no one has gotten sick so there is no reason for evacuation according to Rose.

Highway 95 will remain closed to traffic until the cleanup is completed.

Steve Wyatt, a Department of Energy spokesperson, told 6 News he doesn't know how long the road will be closed. He said state officials requested the closure and will make the decision when to reopen it.



MORE INFORMATION ON BETA RADIATION

Wyatt said the leak was noticed when the truck arrived at the Y-12 disposal cell after traveling from ORNL. He said transportation between the two facilities is common.

The Department of Energy says it was unrelated to any research at ORNL.

Some ORNL workers were cleared Friday evening to drive part of Highway 95 after it tested okay.

The Department of Energy is working with the state to figure out the best way to remove the radiation from Highway 95.

The cleanup could be done as early as Saturday or as late as a few days.

Officials said in a worst case scenario, crews could have to dig up some contaminated ground

Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- A coalition spokesman in Iraq is again denying that American civilian Nick Berg had been detained by U-S officials.

There's been confusion over the time he spent in Iraq.

Coalition spokesman Dan Senor (SEE'-nor) says Berg had been detained for a time by Iraqi police in northern Iraq, and was "visited" by U-S investigators. Senor says U-S officials determined he didn't pose a danger.

Michael Berg's criticism came amid finger-pointing between Berg's family,U.S.military officials and Iraqi police over the young businessman's imprisonment before his execution.

Michael Berg rejected U.S.government claims that his son had never been held by American authorities in Iraq.The Iraqi police chief in the city of Mosul has also contradicted statements by the U.S.-led coalition concerning the younger Berg's detention.

"I have a written statement from the State Department in Baghdad ...saying that my son was being held by the military,"Berg said."I can also assure you that the FBI came to my house on March 31and told me that the FBI had him in Mosul in an Iraqi prison."

CBS reported on Thursday that Berg was questioned by FBI agents who discovered he had been interviewed before because a computer password he used in college had turned up in the possession of accused Sept.11conspirator Zaccarias Moussaoui.

It said the FBI had concluded there was nothing sinister in that.{{{The FBI had no comment on the report.}}}

Senor said the FBI visited Berg three times during his detention by Iraqi police and determined that he was not involved in criminal or terrorist activities.

Berg returned to Baghdad from Mosul in April and went missing on April 9

Berg had been in Baghdad from late December to Feb.1and returned to Iraq in March.He did not find work

On April 5,the Bergs filed a lawsuit against the U.S.government,naming Rumsfeld and alleging their son was being held illegally by the U.S.military in Iraq.The next day,he was released.

Ashcroft: Inquiry showed Berg had no terrorist link
2002 investigation centered on his e-mail address

The 2002 investigation determined that an e-mail address once used by Mr. Berg apparently was obtained by the Moussaoui acquaintances while Mr. Berg was briefly an engineering student at the University of Oklahoma in 1999.

Mr. Berg was detained by Iraqi police in late March, interviewed three times by the FBI and then released April 6 after it was determined he was there to pursue business opportunities. He was advised to leave the country and offered a government flight home but refused, Mr. Ashcroft said.

A coalition spokesman in Iraq is again denying that American civilian Nick Berg had been detained by US officials.
