West Coast gasoline is $2.06 to $2.40 a gallon. Enjoy your low-cost fuel while it lasts. If they can get it here, your neighborhood can't be far behind. With all of the refinery explosions here and abroad (that certainly aren't terrorist related), is it any surprise that gasoline is at an outrageous price and rising like a rocket? Gee, if I were a terrorist, that might be a good way to wreck the economy of the US.

I am sorry to intrude but if you have real time experience with Alzheimer would you please FReep mail me early warning signs. In addition to the link provided for Alzheimer's, you should also compare early symptoms of Parkinson's. The early memory problems look similar. There may also be a similarity in a shift from a normal gait to shuffling. We observed both of those problems during the last 6 months of my dad's life. My sister (an RN) also noted some characteristic twitching in his arms while in the ICU. Dad had tossed his eyeglasses in the trash, then spent all afternoon searching for them. On a prior occasion, he left them on the washing machine when doing some cleaning in the garage. The memory problems took on a more life threatening status when he started having trouble managing his blood sugar and insulin injections.

Thank you, now one has to wonder how this is tied to the two moving trucks of 2002 and 2003 and to the fact that the men arrested in Tenn this week were from Florida.
Talk about connections.

From ASPCA:
BAD NEWS FOR ILLINOIS WILDLIFE! SB 2156 (TRAPPING & HUNTING HERITAGE ACT) PASSES STATE LEGISLATURE!
SB 2156 defines hunting as the lawful pursuit, trapping, shooting, capture, collection, or killing of wildlife or the attempt to pursue, trap, shoot capture, collect, or kill wildlife.
This inhumane bill allows no net loss of public lands for hunting or trapping. If the Governor signs this bill, the next time the Department of Natural Resources closes an area for trapping or hunting where it had been allowed, the Department will be mandated to open up another area for trapping and hunting.
The no net loss of public lands for trapping is especially troubling - new land could be opened up for this inhumane use posing a public saftety risk. Traps are indiscriminate. Pets can get caught and injured in traps. Some unethical trappers have even admitted to drowning or killing pets that get caught in traps.

Circulation of this petition is being sponsored by The Federalist
In his latest election-year stunt to undermine the Bush
administration -- and our national resolve to finish the job
in Iraq -- John Kerry has launched a petition calling for the
resignation of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Kerry claims
that Secretary Rumsfeld should be held personally responsible
for the actions of a few soldiers in Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison
who humiliated a group of the captive terrorists in their search
for "actionable intelligence." This is the same John F. Kerry,
by the way, who has alternately employed claims of his Vietnam
wartime heroism and wartime criminality to catapult himself into
the highest echelons of public life over the past three decades.
Kerry's irrational call for Rumsfeld's resignation, harkening
back to his days as a Vietnam War protestor, is anything but out
of the ordinary for the "gentleman from Massachusetts".
Kerry claims his petition received about 250,000 signatures.
Act now to refute this political folly and support Secretary
Rumsfeld.
Today, PatriotPetitions.US, the nation's leading public opinion
advocate for U.S. national security and sovereignty, has released its
newest campaign entreating the President and Congress to support
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Please register your support for
Secretary Rumsfeld. Let your voice be heard!
Please join fellow Patriots on the front lines in defense of our
liberty and national sovereignty. Link to --

Secretary of State Battles Identity Theft
(5/10/04) The Illinois secretary of state's office is taking new steps to protect against identity theft. Jesse White announced the plans today. Starting next month his office will cross-reference new drivers licenses with the social security administration. They want to make sure the records match. A recent search found 96-percent of the Illinois licenses matched with the social security database. Motorists with records that did not match will have to go to the secretary of state's office to explain why.

Study: Federal Web sites offer little data for terrorists
05/10/04
The overwhelming majority of federal Web sites that reveal information about airports, power plants, military bases and other attractive terrorist targets need not be censored because similar or better information is easily available elsewhere, a taxpayer-financed study found.
