From my understand they were working on a chemical analysis to determine where it came from. I have not heard if their results have been announced yet or not.

Curious, however, that the estimated potential casualties is now 4X the earlier story. Somebody is trying to stoke up the story.20,000 is hardly newsworthy. 80,000 merits a line or two. 800,000 apparently is a footnote.

MSNBC has just spent 10 minutes on this, Reporting that Jordan has aired terrorist confessions on national television, implicating Alcazacri--I butchered that spelling-- in a plot to use chemical WMD.

I wonder how CNN feels, now they probably know that they were scooped here over a week ago? LOL! Some newscasters they are!

I think they just said that the chemicals was a mixture of nerve agents and blistard agents.

It is old news. Jordan went public with a national television broadcast of the terrorist's confessions where they admitted to plotting a chemical attack. The mainstream press can no longer ignore it.

Alright, the blister agent apparently is sulfuric acid... Not as bad as I thought.
I wonder what the possible nerve agent would be?

That would ruin your day.
Obviously Jordan wants to get this story out in the major media. Broadcast confessions (before trial) and details that purportedly up the potential, hypothetical casualties.

of course they can ignore it, and will do exactly that. alot of people here on FR don't believe the story either. or the Sudan story. or any other WMD stories for that matter.
the mainstream media has won - unless they unearth a building with a "WMDs Are Here" sign on it in Iraq, loaded with material, no one wants to believe any of these stories.
