"
Sounds like a bunch of heavy baloney and too much TV watching to me." I agree with this.
There are alot of crazies in the world.

Shall we now recall that Cardinal Egan has abolished the office of exorcist in the Archdiocese of New York and banned the exorcists from working who were licensed under Cardinal O'Connor?
And who, pray tell, is the exorcist in the Archdiocese of Washington?
And who, pray tell, is the exorcist in the Archdiocese of Baltimore?

There are less than 10 exorcists in the country. That is a scandal. And it started long ago, I'm discovering. The loss of faith has been gradual and has occured over hundreds of years.
Scary.

Frightening, especially with so few exorcists around. A while back, Cardinal Egan stopped any exorcisms from ocurring in the Archdiocese of New York.
Things that make you say, "Hmmm..."

Sounds like a bunch of mid-80's "Cult Scare" BS to me.

I believe you, don't get me wrong, but I can't find any record of this. Do you have any citations?

The presence of evil, including even among some in the church, is real. Unfortunately. Mere nominal Catholic affiliation does not always mean an individual is free from dark influences and obsessions.

Egan also moved against Fr. Pavone's pro-life work. That was weird. Who is Egan taking orders from, one wonders.

The details of this woman's story don't exactly fit (imo), but anyone who has been through a satanic ritual is likely to emerge with psych issues. So, while her story is out there it doesn't mean she didn't undergo any abuse.
Someone on the other thread last night thought the nun's murder was likely not Robinson's first. I would agree.

Maybe, but then there IS the FACT of the DEAD Nun, killed in a "ritualistic" fashion. Loons and the like make up stuff, the DEAD sister is a FACT. Satanism is real, it is deadly and it likely is part of this case.

There were police investigations of reports of ritual/cult crimes in the Lucas County/Toledo area of Ohio in the 1980s. That was independent from the case of this murder.
Same area of Ohio. Same basic time period.

Logical questions for investigators:
What seminary did the priest attend?
What bishops has he been connected with?
What types of periodicals and reading materials did he possess?
What did he do before he entered the seminary?
If guilty of the crime, he needs to be broken down and turned to confess to the details of his activities. Naming names. It is likely this will all be covered up.

Thanks for the ping, narses, I've been avoiding this story because it looked too horrible.
ELS, I didn't know that Egan had done that. Cardinal O'Connor made TWO trips to Rome to beg that Egan not be appointed. The Pope (or whoever appointed Egan) ignored him.

The Sheriff's officer quoted in narses' article last night on Fr. Kunz was just awful. I hope these officers are more aggressive. I'm afraid the satanic groups draw members from all levels of society and protect each other.
If we all knew more than we do it would be terrifying.

It IS horrible, but worse is the possible complicity of the hierarchy of the Holy Church in covering up such crimes. If you lived in Mahoney's Diocese and you were a member of a law enforcement organizatiuon, you'd KNOW such things happen.

My daughter lives in Charleston (don't forget the connection), and I'm very sure these things happen.

If it is a "recovered memory" it is suspect. It probably is. Some therapists are still using hypnosis to "ferret" out "repressed" memories.
