How come the paperwork on Kerry's Bronze Star Award is signed by John Lehman, Sec. of the Navy????
In addition, the date Lehman (supposedly) signed it is not on the document.
Did Kerry not get the award when Chaffee was Secretary of the Navy? If not, why not?
Did Kerry get the award 15 years late?
Or is the paperwork a "sham" and somebody made a big booboo?
I'll post the document as soon as I find it again. Maybe somebody here has it bookmarked? And, if there's already been a thread on this that I missed....please direct me to the proper thread.
Thanks!

Why does Kerry call it Mr. Nixon's war when he served under Johnson.
Yep he enlisted in early 1966 and reported for OCS in Aug. '66 under Johnson's Presidency and was discharged in 1971 under President Nixon ......

Anyone send this to Rush, Hannity, etc. yet? I hope they get better results than trying to get FreeRepublic to publicize it.

Wow, that is most certainly NOT Chaffee's signature on the Kerry docs! Thanks for finding a signature so it can be compared!

That looks like a Senate Document. Which John Chaffee is that? I agree it ain't Warners on Kerry's citation. Sure wish someone would post Lehman's sig.

It is a curiosity, for sure.

Can someone explain to me why it has been said that Kerry was discharged from Active duty when he was never "Active"? I refer to the "Enlistment Contract" on the kerry site
http://www.johnkerry.com/about/military_records.html under the field of "Branch & Class of Service" it says USNR-R. If he was "Active" it would only say USN.

You know you might go down in the FR history books don't you.

I was in the Navy Reserves during that period and all my military paperwork lists me as USNR. Regular Navy was USN
