Bond girls aren't easy (Britney can't meet the standard!)

Bond girls aren't easy
By SAMANTHA BONAR
(c) 2004, Los Angeles Times

Britney, you are no Pussy Galore. Former Bond Girl Maryam d'Abo (Kara Milovy in 1987's The Living Daylights) with Timothy Dalton.

A recent Extra television report revealed that Britney Spears has had the gall to approach Barbara Broccoli, a producer of Bond films, with a view to becoming the next Bond Girl. .....

...A Bond Girl has sex appeal. Her allure stems from her classic beauty -- tall, lithesome, elegant. Ursula Andress (Honey Ryder) rose from the sea like a knife-wielding Aphrodite in 1962's Dr. No, the first of the Bond films. Another Dr. No Bond Girl, Sylvia Trench (played by Eunice Gayson), is described in the screenplay as "willowy, exquisitely gowned, with a classic, deceptively cold beauty." Britney, on the other hand, is already looking over-the-hill at 22. In fact, she'd look right at home in a trailer with three to five kids.....

There are two types of women in the world: those that think it would be cool to be a Bond girl, and those that are not worth talking to.

Yes, she was another villainess. I had to watch The World is not Enough a few times because she distracted me from the lines being spoken. She is truly awe inspiring...

Yeah I guess you are right. I was thinking a lot of the 60-80s Bond women never really made huge appearances in other films (or maybe just not in other films *I've* seen).

Lately it seems that they use more well-known actresses who have done other movies before (and after). Like the ones you mentioned.

Still I don't equate Denise Richards with sophisticated beauty. She and Britney are about the same level in my mind--overtly sexual, and attractive in their own (probably surgery enhanced) ways.

"Famke is still on my top ten list of Bond Babes. Sure she was a villaness, but I would not being interrogated for hours on end by her..."

Sorry, that should read: Famke is still on my top ten list of Bond Babes. Sure she was a villainess, but I would not mind being interrogated for hours on end by her...

There were lines being spoken? I suppose now you will say there were other actors and stuff in the movie.

She is gorgeous. I knew it was Sophie M something or other. I actually prefer Maria Grazia Cucinotta but she got wasted early in that movie.

Britney the once pop queen now the gay trash queen, has no brains to be a bond girl.

It was her kiss with liberal Mandona, the slut queen, that help started and kick off, the gays getting marriage ordeal that still hitting the country. It was sick. Britney does not even have the brains to know what side she on, let alone be a bond girl. She stab Bond in the back, that how stupid she is.

Damn,

That's the meanest bitch-writing I've seen in a long time.

I'm no great Britney fan but does anyone have a pic of MS BONAR?

The slurs against Louisiana and where Britney comes from were ...I hate to use the slur.....bigoted. I think Miss Britney grew up regular middle class anyhow.

If anyone wrote that nasty about a minority, they would be pilloried.

With the string of fantastic women in the Bond films, how do we explain Grace Jones' appearance? What is voracious cocaine use on the part of the casting director (nose candy was very popular with Hollywood types in the 1980s), did Grace twist their arms until they screamed for mercy, or was there blackmail involved?
