Bond girls aren't easy (Britney can't meet the standard!)

Bond girls aren't easy

(c) 2004, Los Angeles Times

Britney, you are no Pussy Galore. Former Bond Girl Maryam d'Abo (Kara Milovy in 1987's The Living Daylights) with Timothy Dalton.

A recent Extra television report revealed that Britney Spears has had the gall to approach Barbara Broccoli, a producer of Bond films, with a view to becoming the next Bond Girl. .....

...A Bond Girl has sex appeal. Her allure stems from her classic beauty -- tall, lithesome, elegant. Ursula Andress (Honey Ryder) rose from the sea like a knife-wielding Aphrodite in 1962's Dr. No, the first of the Bond films. Another Dr. No Bond Girl, Sylvia Trench (played by Eunice Gayson), is described in the screenplay as "willowy, exquisitely gowned, with a classic, deceptively cold beauty." Britney, on the other hand, is already looking over-the-hill at 22. In fact, she'd look right at home in a trailer with three to five kids.....

I think Spike had a Bond movie on recently. I was channel surfing and forget the name (the one with one of the famous ski chases--For Your Eyes only I think) but it had this horrible pop tart side Bond Girl. She was a figure skater I think and the scenes I saw she was waving like a love-sick puppy for this Biatholon Skier (who turns out to be a bad guy, and shoots a Moore). "Isn't he dreamy? Oh James ... he's so gorgeous ... blah blah yack yack"

That would be a suitable part for Britney.

Okay, I am just as much of a red-blodded guy as anyone, but I honestly don't get the mystique behind two women kissing. I don't see women getting turned-on watching guys kiss.

A girlfriend explained it to me once- she said that for a situation to be a turn-on, you have to be able to see yourself as possibly being part of the situation. So, for a woman, seeing two guys kiss isn't a turn-on since they can't realistically see themselves in there with the two guys since they're, most likely, homosexual.

Men, on the other hand, can quite easily see themselves being in there with two women since we assume that two attractive chicks kissing are most likely bisexual rather than homosexual.

Superheroine rule number one: If you're going to go fight evil, you have to wear high heels (see, eg., Woman, Wonder).

Still the same issue. If they are bisexual, then the competition becomes greater. Competetion is fine for business, but not when contemplating "relations." I have no affinity for women who have a foot in both lands.

To add to you analogy, it is like having an automatic tranny in a muscle car.

Why does this line make me think of Eddie Murphy?

No most of us guys are just dogs

Well, there's that too. I don't think very many guys would object to half a dozen beautiful women at the same time. Few women, on the other hand, would find half a dozen men at the same time as enticing.

Okay, nearly fell out of my chair with laughter on that one. If I had been drinking, liquid would have spewed out of my nose.
