I am very happy to hear this - he did a very good job on the Dick Cavitt show that reran here not too long ago and I was thinking as I watched him that he needs to come out and stand strong! Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if he had received a call from the Bush administration...

Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if he had received a call from the Bush administration... I don't read it that way. There are quite a few Vietnam vets who see Kerry's candidacy as giving them one last chance to set the record straight, and that's where I think John O'Neill is coming from.

(ABCNNBCBS -- yesterday's news.)

John O'Neill has decided on his own to speak out against Kerry. The Bush Administration has not encouraged him to come forward, or even spoken with John. O'Neill will make it clear that he is not political and he has not come out in support of Bush. What has gotten O'Neill going is the same thing that got him going in 1971. He feels Kerry lied about his military record. He feels Kerry has dishonored veterans by claiming "war crimes." He feels Kerry was oportunistic in his VVAW support -- John O'Neill is an Annapolis Graduate who served in Swift Boats himself during Vietnam and he has always opposed Kerry's anti-American stand and behavior.
