Actually if you punched out one of those fruits you would be putting your self at risk by possible contracting something if you both end up bleeding...Bloody nose and a busted knuckle could be a point of infection...

You are right. But I wouldn't have used my hands. My guess is if you fight one you would have to fight all, so I would have immediately grabbed a chair and go to town.
