Sec. 953. - Private correspondence with foreign governments

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

These aren't sane people, jackass my not come out alive. He better watch himself. Can't even believe the family would connect him. He's got about as much chance as the man and the moon in getting them released.

Better leave it to the professionals, I'm sure they've got their where abouts already identified. Rescue is probably very close.

I heard that it wasn't Jesse Jackson who successfully negotiated for the release of American POWs in Yugoslavia, but actually a group of Congressmen who went over (from both sides of the aisle). Can anyone help me back this up?
