Comet C/2002 V1 (NEAT) at Perihelion distance of 0.0999 AU.

The Comets highly electric Plasma sheath interfaces with the Sun several times over a few days...Quantum Electron Jump.

The relationship is like a welder arc...Anode/Cathode.
Captured by SOHO,,this is a fantastic proof of Electrical interface in Space...and noted..at 0.0999 AU..a staggering distance.

To me it looks like this comet is heading to Earth

Mister Sun is blowing out puffs of smoke to ward off the evil comet. The comet is circling in for the kill though.
