Then what are our options? As I see it, we only have two:

1. Just ignore the entire region and it's satanist fanatics - not a good idea unless we can reduce our dependency on their "black-gold". And just let them rot.

2. Sanitize the region - take that however you want to.

With option 1, the region would continue to fester like a cancerous growth - with a growing threat to the entire planet. Also, at least the conservative Christians among us cannot ignore the horrible situation. We just cannot allow Satan to have is way with so many millions of people (Sorry if it sounds like I am promoting a new CRUSADE).

Option 2 would be so completely un-PC and anti-UN/Europe. We have condemned so many for what the international community calls "Ethnic Cleansing", yet any effort to "sanitize" the region would be called the same thing by the world.

We are stuck between a rock and a hard place - the fanatical Satan-worshipping Islamists are hellbent to destroy the US and anything/anyone that does not give them glory and power (sounds like SATAN, doesn't it), yet if we do what REALLY needs to be done, we would be the monster of the world (some would say we already are....).

I sure am glad I'm not in charge.....I would not be very popular. I'm just glad we have someone with integrity and at least SOME guts in the Whitehouse.

I would not disagree with what you have written.

Perhaps you misread what I posted.

The options I was mocking were those that the Palestinians stated they would employ: turn to the UN, the EU or the Arab league for help.

As I implied, all of these sources are laughable.

I believe we have given the Palestinians what they least expected: the logical end to their wasted years of posturing and violence.

They are reaping what they sowed.

Either way, as a conservative Christian myyself, I sincerely believe that the Middle East needs to come to Jesus.

Hence, my complete support for the vision of President Bush, that of opening up that region to freedom, which must include freedom of conscience.
