I just wish the critics would apply the same standards to everyone as they do to the Bush Administration.

I do. It is the Democratic critics who don't.

If Bill Clinton were the president today, and events in Iraq unfolded over the last year exactly as they have, I would venture to guess that 99% of the people on this site would be calling for his resignation -- and rightfully so.

In fact, this is my basic complaint about how this administration has performed on this specific issue -- they've done things the way I would have expected the Clinton administration to do them.

That's just an absurd comparison. The Administration has been very open about this entire thing, despite some bleating to the contrary. That's the exact opposite of what the Impeached Rapist would have done. Then again, he wouldn't have made this huge, politically risky move in the first place, unless perhaps he was having another bimbo eruption.

Yep, taking an aggressive stance and taking the war on terror to the reagion where their strength lies is certainly the same thing as doing nothing. In fact, underfunding the intelligence community and military is the same strengthening these organizations in your mind.

And I heard that canada's schools were better than ours!

No, because the press would either ignore any bad stories from Iraq, or they would always accentuate the positive stories (you know, the ones we never hear) about reconstruction and the prospect of a free Iraq leading to a stablizing effect in the ME.
