When we lived in Minnesota (Mrs. Theknow's home state) there was a sportscaster on WCCO by the last name of Scott, I think he was the brother of NFL announcer Ray Scott - Ice Bowl Commentator, anyway, this guy always wore some gawdawful sport jacket that would send the televisions into apoplexy with this effect.

His jackets looked like they were alive!

Nobody should ever wear herringbone anything when on TV. It REALLY goes wild with the pixels. Norm Van Lier, former player with the Chicago Bulls, does commentary for them now - it drives me crazy when he wears herringbone-pattern sportcoats.
