Clinton aides admit little done to foil terrorism

Wow! That's quite an interesting read...especially with Gorelick saying this on Sept. 23, 2001. She's practically offering an apology for the Clinton administration's failures to see this coming...and it is obvious she was well informed about events under Clinton. She should be under oath elaborating on these very statements:

"Clearly, not enough was done," said Jamie Gorelick, a former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration. "We should have caught this. Why this happened, I don't know. Responsibilities were given out. Resources were given. Authorities existed. We should have prevented this."

"At home, Clinton doubled the size of the FBI's counterterrorism budget, but the bureau was so slow to hire new agents to combat terrorism that much of the money was never used, according to Gorelick. An FBI spokesman said specific staffing and budget figures were classified."
