The timing between the Gorelick memo and the OKC bombing is only part of the issue. In fact, I think we may be missing the bigger picture here.
I find myself wondering if the policy of building this wall between the FBI and CIA was deliberately intended to head off any investigations into Chinese espionage activities in the United States.

I did read something about Clinton requesting FBI files to gauge how much they knew about Chinese fund-raising, and Freeh was no happy about it and nailed them for it.
This info is in the Richard Clark Pentagon Papers/VVAW thread I keep bumping like crazy.

Brilliant deduction! Unfortunately, all the attention is on why Bush didn't declare war on the Taliban in January of 2001, while the real crimes perpetrated from the Oval Office by his predecessor will never be investigated. Sadly, Republicans shot their wad on perjury and obstruction of justice. Treason and sedition would have been a better basis for impeachment.
