The 9/11 Commission is on the verge of becoming an utter failure. All it is doing is providing a forum for current and former officials to point fingers at each other. The only possible good that could come out of it is confirm that there were major structural obstacles to fighting terrorism. Those obstacles were largely eliminated in 2001 by the USA PATRIOT Act.
In their mindless resolve to bash Bush, the dems have put together a commission that will effectively confirm the necessity for the hated USA PATRIOT Act.

The 9/11 Commission is on the verge of becoming an utter failure - It's not on the verge, it is an utter failure. They have turned it into a political circus. Nothing positive will result from this Bush Witch hunt. The intent is to blame Bush for 9/11 and absolve Clinton. What a waste of time and tax payers money.

The 9/11 Commission is on the verge of becoming an utter failure. What do you mean on the verge? It already is to anyone w/ a grain of objectivity. Don't expect "the masses" to all draw that conclusion. ;)

The 9/11 Commission is on the verge of becoming an utter failure.I agree, if not already. This memo is a disaster for Gorelick and the commission. Americans think it's a joke with the only purpose of attacking Bush. Now it backfires hugh.
