Too bad that you don't understand that I didn't see a confused or stumbling man. From the doom & gloom naysayer critics on this thread, I'd say the President could issue a declaration that America was going to cede sovereignty to France, and as long as he was one smooooth cookie when saying it, getting all the inflections perfect for the soundbytes, most of them would think he was a great President, doing a good job with a GREAT MESSAGE!!!

Give me an honest and believable human being with a good message any time, thank you very much.

You're being ridiculous. There is not one of us here who would cheer a smooth speech of the type you mention. Of course the message matters. But DELIVERY COUNTS, particularly with the Great Unwashed who are likely to decide this election. And I think that Bush could've done better and I wish he had.
