I HATE Wendell Goler - he'd rather eat dirt than say "President Bush". I do wish he'd go to cnn.

"Why is he so nervous and appear so lacking in confidence when speaking in public?"
Look I know he's the leader of the free world and all, but he's still a person. And, beleive it or not, after DEATH, public speaking is the thing feared most by people.
In fact, almost all politicians are terrible at it. Bush is actually pretty good from a prepared text. He's bad on his feet tho', but we know that already. The American people know that. But he's good when the spirit moves him. Nobody is going to vote for him or against him because of press conference performance.
And, on this count, Kerry, that sonorous, pompous, haughty bore, is no threat at all. At least Bush sounds like a real Amurican. Kerry has good eloqution (sp?) but we are not electing a toastmaster in chief, so no worries on this account.

Curt Weldon said Iran has the most to lose, sandwiched between Iraq and Afghanistan, and Iran behind the recent violence in Iraq.

That depends on how you define 'good speaker.'
If what you want is slickness, he's not 'good.'
If you want truth, and clear communication, sincerity and passion, he's a great speaker.
You are wrong. This was a strong press conference, and he will gain support because of it.

I want to see W every week looking at the camera (us), not reporters, telling us how proud he is of our Troops and how he is going to stay the course come hell or high water.That is a great idea imho. Sure would put a boost into our week!

What I can't stand about Susan Estrich is when she chortles, shakes her head, and rolls her eyes, all at the same time.

The BIG loser tonight was our National Press Corps. Their bias, indignation, and even scorn, against President Bush was laid out for all to see. I give them at the most, 10 more years doing business as usual.The begging for Bush to morph into the Apologiser in Chief for Al Qa'ida was a bit much, wasn't it? :-}
As for the ten years you may be right. Times have changed drastically in the 25 years I've been fighting liberalism gone wild.

They were on earlier. Now we're back to reality with Colmes and Estrich.

Larry King asking the victims' families "Who do you blame?"
To: Jorge
The delivery was not so great. In some places he was really embarrassing.I have to disagree and I am one who often held her head after one of his rhetorical missteps. His tone tonight was conversational and thoughtful.

People, if you have no doubts this is the right man for the job, then VOLUNTEER IN A BATTLEGROUND STATE. Not at your home where it is convenient (unless that is a battleground state). Drive where you are needed on election day. It is time for sacrifice. If the guys in Iraq can risk their lives for freedom, surely we can offer up a vacation day to travel to a battleground state and drive elderly veterans to the polls.
