"I keep hearing about Kerry and his "Misery Index" and how they had one years ago--anyone know anything about it? (I'm taking my news in very small pieces so as not to burst an aneurysm!)"

Misery is listening to the Dems and media all day! He would bring up a "Misery Index". Just looking at him you can tell thats all his is is miserable.

Coming up as fast I as can "proof" them on another thread. I do the "preview" thing - and then when I've corrected my goofs, I then post them here. I usually do this before starting the Dose but was "late" tonight, so wanted to get the Dose going.

Before changing and conducting the press conference with Egyptian President Mubarak, Pres. Bush tkes part in an update on Iraq in a secure room at his Western White House.

This official White House photograph shows US President George W. Bush receiving an update on the situation in Iraq during a National Security Council meeting via video teleconference in Crawford, Texas. Also present is national security advisor Condoleezza Rice.

And more than this batch. Whew! A LOT of photos today!

Easter Egg Roll at the White House South Lawn today - was held although it ended several hours earilier than planned due the heavy rain the DC area is experiencing.

Secretary of Education Rod Paige, left, kicks off the annual Easter Egg roll at the White House, Monday, April 12, 2004. Paige kicked off this year's egg roll, standing in for President Bush.

Kids participate in a rain-soaked Easter Egg Roll event on the South Lawn of the White House, April 12, 2004. The annual event, which started in 1878, normally attracts a crowd of about 40,000 but the event was closed to the public last year and limited to military personnel and their families.

The annual White House Easter egg roll normally draws a crowd of about 40,000, but with the bad weather, a much smaller crowd showed up at the annual event, Monday, April 12, 2004. Hundreds of children scampered around the South Lawn of the White House Monday, hugging stuffed bunnies and rolling colored eggs across the soggy grass in an annual ritual that dates to the late 1870s when Rutherford B. Hayes was president.

Just for grins and giggles, and while we're on the subject of Easter eggs - Eggs-a-plenty : A woman hangs hand-painted Easter eggs on an 'Easter tree' at the Dresden Zoo.

For fun, because the rain and wind today will be the end of the cherry blossoms around the Tidal basin, I thought I'd post there - in their prime, - this is a picture of them and Tom's place.

The 2004 Cherry Blossom Queens from Japan wave as they pass the Washington Monument in Washington, Saturday, April 3, 2004, during the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.

Got this little bit of humor in an Email today.

Heading for DC - at the Waco Airport, walking from Marine 1 to AF1, the President helps Barney give a wave!

It's a good day and evening when I get to see our president looking relaxed and happy.

Although he's probably too nice, I'll bet some days he'd like to give another kind of "salute" to the press! LOL
