The President and his family spent Easter Sunday at the Chapel at Fort Hood and then visited soldiers at the Darnell Community Hospital.
President Bush held a joint press conference with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, at his ranch Monday, April 12, 2004 in Crawford, Texas, discussing Sharon's plans for the Gaza Strip, among other subjects.
The President left for the Waco airport shortly after the completion of the press conference, and flew home to the White House.
The President announced that he will hold a press conference in the White House, Tuesday night, at 8:20 PM EDT.

"We also believe the future of the Middle East and the future of Iraq are closely linked," Bush said. "The people of the greater Middle East have a right to be safe, secure, prosperous and free."
But, Bush said, a Palestinian state would remain in jeopardy "if terrorists are willing to kill" in order to interrupt progress. "We can't let people blow up the process, but that's what's happening," Bush said.

OK Dosers! I know that at least some of you watch American Idol (I don't but that's immaterial).
Some of the posters are saying that Fox's decision to carry the President's press conference live and delay the AI show results until the next night will tick off the viewer/voting public.

I am very happy the President will have a press conference, on national TV alphabet stations also I hope, tomorrow. We need to hear from him.
I suppose it's a vain hope that a majority of the questions will be intelligent.

I'd rather watch our handsome President any day! I am soooo sick of hearing the jack . . . rabbits criticize him constantly, I want to hear from HIM. Hope he does a good job, maybe loses his temper a little with the idiot questions.

There were a few ladies who wanted names and addresses of soldiers to write to....I finally have a couple of names from Mike's sister unit of the 106th...they fly Blackhawks and have just arrived at Anaconda...one is a female SFC, a good friend of Mike's.....Im sorry I forgot who freepmailed me, but I deleted a lot of my mail along with the names....please freepmail me if you are interested.
