No one was responsible for those deaths but the murderers. I know you hate Bush, but could you at least acknowledge this truth?

Some relatives of Sept. 11 victims responded in anger ...First off, their anger is misplaced. That's what happens when you allow politics to rule your emotions. Their anger should be directed at Al Qaeda and Bun Laden. Not at anyone in the Bush administration.
Four women who lost their husbands were on with Chris Matthews today. They weren't satisfied either. One of the these women said that Rumsfeld and others didn't fly on 9-11, because they knew the terrorist attacks were going to take place. That's pure conspiracy theory nonsense. Then Matthews said that VPCheney should be given truth serum to find out what really happened. LOL
The 9-11 commission is a sham and its subsequent findings will reveal no evidence that PresBush and his people could have stopped 9-11 from happening. The librats are using a ridiculous strategy based on 20-20 hindsight. Pointing fingers and casting blame solves nothing and serves no good purpose whatsoever. People who are still angry about 9-11 after 2-1/2 years, should see a psychologist or maybe a psychiatrist. They need some real help.

these 'professional victims' are pathetic.

I don't hate Bush at all -- I was making a general comment about how governments function.
When was the last time you ever heard anyone in government accept responsibility for something?

Some 9-11 families are becoming pests - professional victims.
What is unusual is that their status is guaranteed because of the uniqueness of the incident that took their family members lives.
Indeed there is a dark side to some of the lives of some of the 9-11 victim families. Many moved on quickly and got married (one woman married a family friend about 7 months after 9-11 happened). A few NYPD firemen have consoled some of their former brothers wives so closely that they got coupled up. People have used the insurance and charity money for
The truth is, and people have to get over romanticizing things, is that while the tragedy was a disaster and we mourn all those lost, the victms and their families should get no special hero status. They were in a bad place at a bad time. The people were a normal cross-section of people. Some good, some bad, most average. Certainly no better or no worse than 3,000 other NYers in any office building around town.
Some were cheating on their wives. Some were cheating on their taxes. Some were
The 9-11 families? Some may have been contemplating divorce and the 911 tragedy solved their problem real quick. On tbe morning of 911, some may have been tussling in bed with some idiot they met at the gym (for their normal tuesday morning dalliance) while a jetliner crashed into their spouse's cubicle.
But most weren't.
In any case, we feel sympathy for the tragedy of all of their losses. However, giving these people some undue celebrity or holiness, or giving their opinion (naturally ranging from informed to uninformed, and everytihing in between) undue weight, is unwise and just wrong.

So are these people going to demand the Democrats apologize to the families of the Pearl Harbor attack victims because of FDR's negligence? Then how about an apology to the families for WTC bombing #1. And how about an apology to the families of those who died in the twin embassy bombings and the familes of the solidiers who died on the USS Cole. And, in my opinion, an apology to the families of those who died on TWA flt. 800. These NJ widows want to hold everyone responsible but the ef'in terrorists. I'm so sick of it all. I've just about had it with this bogus commission, the rats and the media. It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to watch any covereage any more.

Are these the same "9/11 families" that were being paid by the Tides Foundation aka Heinz/Kerry/MoveOn/DNC? Big letter "L" on their foreheads.

"I am angry at the lack of accepting accountability -- that's what the president should have done, accepted responsibility," said Beverly Eckert of Stamford, Connecticut, whose husband Sean died at the World Trade Center. "Instead, it's been outwardly directed, not just at the terrorists but at previous administrations."
HELLO!!! You may want a fall-boy, but you better start yelling at the guy that was in office for 8 years, not 8 months, if you want your 'yelling' to have any credibility.
I am a bit perturbed at the overt 'professionalism' that everyone in the Bush Administration is being forced to show, in NOT pointing fingers at the previous administration. It is time that this commission and these 'relatives' of the victims start saying as much, rather than being patsy's in an election year to the Democrats.

I feel for the loss of our WHOLE COUNTRY! These people keep using the word "murder", and it was, but it was also a vivid declaration of war on the U.S., not on these individuals. They need to wake up and join the president in kicking some terrorist a__, here, Afghanistan, Iraq, and everywhere else these cowards are huddled. It is time for them to be strong, to honor thier loved ones. I may sound harsh, but I am so sick of the role of "victim" they are playing. Self pity smells like s___, and these folks need to quit wallowing in it!

I did a quick internet search on Beverly Eckert and it turns out she's one who has refused the 9/11 settlement and is instead suing the government.
Her name pops up associated with all sorts of "Peace and Justice" type sites. IOW, she's now a professional victim in the employ of Socialists.
I feel for her loss, but ....

These people are huge cry babies. How many of our soilders or Oklahoma City are getting an apology? The people who they might want to contact is bin laden and other gansters!

I does no good to change the subject which is ALL about who is responsible for those 3000 deaths. You are exposed.
To: areafiftyone
These people have collected buckets of money as survivors of those who died on 9/11.
They spit in the faces of the survivors of our military who lay down their lives for our country, and leave behind loved ones who don't collect buckets of money.
They need to shut up and go away.

"...Many 9/11 relatives said the general public should have been warned about the potential for attack during the summer of 2001,..."
If there were any warnings, what would everyone have done? The same as they are doing now, nothing. We have had so many warning color changes in the last year, but that hasn't changed the way people go about the day-to-day activities. Personally, I don't feel any safer now than I did before the first hijacked plane left the gate. The only real hassle has been not being able to board a plane without being made to feel like a presumed criminal. I haven't flown since September 10, 2001 just for that reason. This argument about pre-attack warnings is nothing more than leftist ca-ca. Since I'm singing to the choir, could any of us here on FR have prevented what happened? I surely couldn't. And neither could President Bush. X42 had his chances to avoid the tragedy but he was more interested in having his knob cleaned than nation security. I hope to see a replay of Condi's testimony. Heard she didn't back down once and went on subtle attacks herself. You go girl!!!!! Hope Condi's around for another four years.
