Oh great, you're telling me they are with the peaceniks/Sean Penn crowd?

Great find and thanks for the hard work and alerting us. Please let us know if the Japanese media reports these "hostages" but not their motives.
Just when you think the left can't go any lower.

Great find bump! Thanks for your translation.
I wonder if there's any way of spreading the word about this to the news media or some such thing. It could certainly bring up some questions about the whole thing.

First...I hope they survive.
Second....how ironic this would be if true
Third...if it is in fact true let's see if the left-leaning media even mentions it.

Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.
Be drinking buddies with jihadis, get taken hostage.

For some reason, that scene from Die Hard where the cheesy guy goes into the head terrorist's office to try to "negotiate" with McClane over the telephone comes to mind...
Shilling for terrorists is dangerous business.

Wow,if this is true, what a sh-ty bad idea of his to go to Iraq.
To: AmericanInTokyo
Have you noticed that the Japanese prime minister does not seem to care if Mr. Imai will be made into shi'ite barbeque. He has no intention of pulling Japanese troops out of Iraq and another 1,200 are due to be deployed in a few weeks.

Hmmm.

I'm sorry but I gotta say, Mr. Noriaki Imai, you have the funniest looking mug I have ever seen. Oh, btw,why would Iraq have depleted uranium?

If the enemy takes some of its snipers hostage is our side required to try to effect their release? They should be treated as all active enemies in the theater are. This Japanese is an active enemy. He made his bed.

Takahashi's web site brings up a "403 Forbidden" page. Going to the "ClubWee" site, I see a lot of typically adolescent cute smiling Japanes kids waving peace signs and a "What is your dream?" page.
I get the impression of new "koru garu" trend: ditzy Shibuya girl types trying to make a cute spectacle of themselves using the WOT as a vehicle.
My browser can't handle Japanese text, but I the html pages come up OK.
What's your take?
