Anyone with half a brain and a semblance of ability to reason knows that this commission is just Monday morning quarterbacking.
Agreed. However considering that Gore received ~50 million votes in the last election, it seems that a signifcant number of people in this country are operating with less than half a brain and an impaired ability to reason.
It will be interesting to see how the media spins this and how the sheeple respond.

Matthews is going to be citing the memo title ad nauseum.
Heard Andrea mischaracterize (to put it charitably) that Rice said the "Bin Laden" document contained no threat. That is false, Ms. Mitchell. Rice said "no specifics".

Chrissy saying AGAIN it's interesting that Condi mentioned that Rummy and Paul Wolfowitz wanted to go after Iraq when we were attacked on 9/11

Hm, now it says "after" 9/11. I think either I got over-excited when I was typing or somebody put the initial headline up too fast and revised it.

Just did a quick google on that Hence person. He's an Indymedia (i.e. anti-Semitic) conspiracy theory peddler. Not exactly credible.

My take:
She exposed the effect of the Church Commission, the failure of stove piping between the FBI and the CIA, and the ultimate failure of treating terror as a legal matter rather than a military one. But the only way that profound changes could have been made was after an attack like 9/11. Whats most pressing is that any disclosure of operational success or failure on both sides (us and the terrorists) provides guidelines for the bad guys to adjust their procedures. And in the cases of trials and hearings involving the first WTC bombing, the Cole, etc. operational details were revealed that could and possibly did affect current US efforts both domestically and abroad. Transparency is a key element of our republic but there comes a point where transparency leads to future disaster. In that respect, the commission should have been held behind closed doors and at a time when it would be less damaging to current events including the campaign season. Having said that, it is clear to anyone who cared to watch Dr. Rice that she is competent enough for the position she holds and has the command of her assets such that we are in good hands. Indeed, whats most notable is that very few people wont know who the most powerful black woman in the world is after today. For that, we can thank this commission.

Note the photo MSN
BS still has... Rather than using a pic from today's testimony, they're still using the most awful, mean-looking pic they could find. How disgraceful
Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell are on msnbc, spinning todays testimony by Dr.Rice as a failure of the Bush administration to prevent the events of 9-11. They are using the Aug.6th 2001 PDB as solid evidence the President somehow knew that this pointed directly at 9-11 happening. That's pure BS!
This is more concrete evidence that hindsight is 20-20.
Here come the 9-11 witches.

Unless I missed it, Condi didn't mention that over 4 months had elapsed since the attack on the USS Cole and when the Bush administration took over. She should have stressed that. I would have also mentioned that the East African embassy bombings deserved more of a response than launching some missiles at a training camp in Afghanistan and blowing up an aspirin factory in Sudan.
