US marines pressing an offensive in this Iraqi town west of Baghdad bombed a mosque in the center of the town Wednesday and killed up to 40 insurgents inside, a marine officer said.
The attack came from a jet aircraft at a high angle to minimize the impact, the officer said.
"We wanted to kill the people inside," said Lieutenant Colonel Brennan Byrne.

I for one will welcome the day that the "arab street" does something horrible enough to persuade the United States muckety-mucks to stop doing a p.c. operation and wage a proper war....It is clear that 3000 dead in the twin towers didn't do it...maybe a general uprising of the arab street will. BUMP to your comments.

It's irratating to listen to my locals report incorrectly.
I sent them links and they corrected one of their reports.
They need to monitor this site for the correct news.

Marine captain just now on KFI radio in LA. Re Fallujah: "We WILL take care of this problem." Short and to the point.

Join the US Marine Corps!
Visit unique places, meet exotic people - and kill them.
Keep it up, Col. Byrne! If they can fire RPG's, grenades, and firearms from a mosque, the mosques are now fair game. No more bullsh*t.

"Mosque hit by bomb, as many as 40 worshippers killed. " Using a term like "worshippers" is leftist doublespeak.
So, then, any of those worshipers might begin murdering Americans.
If those worshipers continue to commit such acts, it's time to eradicate them. All the *worshipers.*

start blowing churches. I am reminded of an old song from Sunday School:
The church is not a building,
The church is not a steeple,
The church is not a resting place,
The church is a people.
While I cannot remember the exact text, there is a reference in the Bible about the temples being destroyed and the people of God not caring.
Frankly, the damage a mad bomber can do is of no eternal value...compared to the harm our churches are doing to themselves these days.

Nevermind that Vietnam marked a defeat for the U.S., and Kennedy is cheering for Iraq to be another one.
Vietnam marked a defeat for the U.S. allright. THe DEMOCRAT ADMINISTRATION who started it, then would not let the GENERALS fight it should be ASHAMED of what they've done.
They need Bush to loose, so that KENNEDY (JFK) can still try and look like he was a good president (which he was NOT)

Is this where Sadr was hiding?
I heard on Fox last night that in addition to the other warrant for his arrest, he is also wanted for shooting a pregnant woman who was walking by where he was staying once, as she was on her way to a hospital. What a nice guy.

I've met moderate muslims as well as wacked out Christians. As a matter of fact, I spent last night talking to a young Muslim man who plays chess with my son. I would consider him a moderate Muslim and the nice thing is that he was asking me questions about Christianity. I was floored! (Of course, I'm probably one of those "whacked out Christians" to which you refer...lol.)

I think that the muslems here in US are moderate. However,
since that religion says it's ok to have slaves and that
us infidels are treated as sencond class citizens under
sharia law, they'd not be too upset if infidels had to
pay all the taxes and could not own property...I mean
since we are so unwise as to not accept Allah as our
god. All the moderate muslems would benefit greatly
if us infidels would only stay in our proper place.
