I like Toomey, but he'd have a tough time in the general election. Or am I just bowing to dumb conventional wisdom.

Specter is reminding me of Nixon in this debate.

Specter is reading of a sheet of notes. Old guy isn't used to actually having to work to win an election.

Toomey saying "Senator Spectre doesn't have his facts right". That about sums up Spectre's campaign.

I hope Arlen loses.

Spector seems shaken, while reading his hands are shaking. Confidence seems gone. Let's hope!

Sorry, can not find a live stream. Orginates from an Altoona TV station. I get it on Ch 16 from Wilkes-Barre

That, and "I can win the GE and keep Pennsylvania's clout." I'm stuck with Joe Biden in DE so I'm used to this routine.

Like I said, once these guys get entrenched, they think they'll never have to really campaign again. Biden brushes up for debates by checking his plugs in the mirror.

Why are the RNC and GOP so stuck on Arlen? What do their polls say?

Why are the RNC and GOP so stuck on Arlen? What do their polls say? History strongly favors incumbents.
As for the reason to be "stuck" on Arlen, just think of the GOP and RNC as good 'ol boys clubs. Politics is an insider's game. It's hard for outsiders to prevail.

Exactly what my wife said about Spectre's hand gestures - reminded her of Nixon!
What's up with Arlen always holding his head sideways to talk? I know that's not an issue-related criticism, but it does seem to reflect a bit of his character.

National news showed ex-mayor of NYC, Guiliani, supporting Arlen.
If Arlen loses (crossing fingers), Kyl will assume chair of Senate Judiciary Committee.
