I agree that most on this forum that America is made greater and more fascinating by the inclusion of non-white citizens. But here is an important question: do European-descended whites have a right to claim any land on this earth as their dominant zone? Can they insist that any territory, be it North America, Europe, Russia (parts thereof) or Australia, remain majority white-populated? If not, how can we hope to retain out culture or identity, when every other racial group vigorously practices exclusion of whites from their own territory, in addition to incursion into white-dominated territory?
The unprecedented standard of living created by ethnically european cultures over the last few centuries have made their homelands a magnet for immigrants. But does that mean that it is the duty of North America, Europe and Australia to accept these migrants, regardless of the effect on their homelands- especially when non-white homelands remain intact as power centers and potential rivals?
I have greater faith in the superiority of American culture then Mr. Buchanan. I believe that the immigrants coming here are and will assimulate, just like they always have. This is not the first time immigration had supposedly "doomed" our country.
