Wow, this is one hell of a long thread. I guess I'll have to add my $0.02 without having read all the remarks.

I wish I didn't have to hear the word "racist" being thrown around here. Pat Buchanan is entirely right in what he says about immigration. Most of the immigrants today are Mexicans in near poverty who cross the border to take advantage of America's social programs. They have nothing to contribute to society, and their influence will inevitably shift the American political spectrum to the left (many of them are actually communists).

And God forbid they work 10 hours a day washing dishes or make beds and on Sundays the Priest mentions the Virgin Mary and they hope for one of their children becomes a Doctor who makes a significant advancement against cancer.

The horror of that reality.

The word "racist" as it is used in America today is the equal to the word "Jew" in Nazi Germany. And it is wielded, primarily by thugs that have much in common with the SS. It is meant to silence, to intimidate, to send you running away in fear of the concentration camp. The word is used in this manner only against whites. It is a high tech verbal hand grenade. I am glad it is used so often, bucause it is beginning to lose its pop.

Maybe that's true of the ones who go to California. The ones I've seen in Texas came to work, and they do. They roof the houses, they build those houses too, they do the yardwork, they clean the toilets, they do the dishes in even the nicest restaurants. Do some of them get suckered in by the welfare state? Sure just like the anglos and blacks and even Asians and Russians. But any who come to Texas for the welfare benefits get an ugly suprise. Thats not to say that many of them don't avail themselves of certain programs, but those programs, health care for instance, aren't much, if any, better than what they could get in socialist Mexico.

These folks cheering on the demise and denigration of "whitey" have their own little personal dogs in the hunt.....sad. I thought they were Americans first.

And I think you assertion is unsubstantiated. Go almost anywhere, and see the Hispanics working their butts off. Go look at any construction site in the Southwest. Go chat with those workers, and then tell me that they are "communists." Garbage.
