thanks...I went looking around and had to push aside the fringe kook sites and the DARE propaganda to get info. I don't get how drug dealers made so much money if crack was so cheap. During the 1980s it seemed like crack was the modern day equivalent of the Influenza Panic. I know gangsta rap isn't the most entertaining genre of music but almost of all talk about crack.

(okay let me stop...getting a little deep and far off topic)

My guess is that is was 'cheap' because it was so easy to be hooked. One of my relatives who was addicted said it only took one hit.

He was over $30,000 in debt when he went into rehab.
