(Ansonia-AP, Apr. 2, 2004 1:15 PM) _ The father of a nine-year-old Ansonia boy is questioning his son's three-day school suspension from school.
Jason Pardy says the suspension for inappropriate touching was too harsh. He says his son accidentally brushed a girl's backside during a game of tag.
However, school officials say the incident was thoroughly investigated and the penalty fits the offense.
Pardy says his son, a third-grader, was playing tag with a girl last Friday when he accidentally grazed her buttocks with his hand while tagging her. The girl later told teachers the boy had grabbed her backside.
Pardy says the incident is "overblown" and was a simple misunderstanding.

Been there, done that. The whole "sexual harassment" deal in schools has gotten way out of hand.

If a third grader did in fact grab the little sweeties rear my question is - so what? They're third graders for crying out loud.

Maybe this little guy hasnt learned yet the best time to do that is during school activites at the auditorium as everyone bottlenecks at the entrance doors.

Good grief. One day, unless the country implodes first or Christ comes first, we're gonna have a sterile society like the one in DEMOLITION MAN. I just hope Taco Bell doesn't really win the Franchise Wars.

There is at least one problem here, maybe two. Did the third grade boy grab some ass? I don't know. I wasn't there.
Maybe he's guilty -- what kind of society has third grade boys doing that? An overly sexualized one.
But maybe he's innocent. Let's go with that, because it's hard to know.
The girl decided she could get get some mileage out of filing a sex harassment suit. She's in third grade and she already knows this is how the big girls play the game. THAT'S the biggest problem I see in this whole incident.

Don't we have 1 0r 2 of these a day now. Someone should collect them for a book on what we're really learning from our schools.

bet'cha 10 to 1 that the girl started it. I've got a boy and at that age, the girls like to chase the boys at recess.

As the mother of two boys, 15 and 12, I can tell you the girls are very aggressive. The administrators are also very aggressive and believing the girls and punishing the boys. Heaven help our sons!

I know I'll get flamed but I happen to agree with the suspension. Look, this is a school where children are supposed to be learning. Just what type of example would it be of the children hadn't even learned one of the most important lessons of the past decade. It's OK to grab the girl's ass but you simply must lie about it. Look it's just a little booty and EVERYONE lies about that sort of thing.
I know, I know as a 3rd grader it's hardly about sex but I couldn't resist the irony.

If the schools didn't manufacture this sort of BS, then ''The School Psychologist'' would have nothing to do.

Geez you aren't kidding! My son is in 1st grade and has already had a girl call our house. They constantly attack him on the playground.
When I was in 1st grade, I though boys were "yucky". Although some days I still think that :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're chasing after somebody and you reach out to tag them, which part of them are you likely to hit?
Hint: It's not the front end.
