Nat King Cole was the greatest in the shear sweetness and timbre of his voice. His nature was just as sweet. There was not a mean bone in his body. My dad and Nat were good friends, and his widow came to my Dad's funeral. My Dad sometimes had to pull strings to make sure he could take Nat to certain restaurants, way back in the dark ages of the 1950's.

And the most musically gifted pianist I ever heard. I know of one guy, a Australian guitarist, who plays like he did...a joy to hear.

Nat King Cole was an all-round class act. He left us way too early.
